The functional wall can be attached to any stable wall, whether it be made from wood, concrete or brick. There are no restrictions in terms of height or length. The construction can equalize areas of unevenness to achieve a straight, perfectly "playable" surface.

The multi-functional wall's steel skeleton is fastened both to the floor and the wall. The load-bearing horizontal profiles are installed on top of this. Special hooks are used to hang the units (up to a system depth of 65 cm), panels and appliances, etc. to these profiles. In order to maintain flexibility and versatility, the functional elements are not fastened to the panels but are instead suspended in the functional gaps. They can be repositioned or added to with ease, as needs dictate. The static system is designed so that the functional wall's steel skeleton can bear up to 1,000 kg per running meter.

Water, electricity and gas supply connections are fed or installed behind the panels and units. Suitable wall properties and sufficient wall strength are required for it to be possible to use the multi-functional wall's steel skeleton.
